The Star of David is on the Cover Page of the World's Oldest Jewish Bible, the Leningrad Codex

The Leningrad Codex (or Codex Leningradensis) is the oldest complete manuscript of the Hebrew Bible in Hebrew, using the masoretic text and Tiberian vocalization. It is dated AD 1008.

- Wikipedia

The cover page to this ancient text is obviously showing great prominence to a single symbol- the Hexagram (Magen David). Thus, it is logical to conclude that the leading Jewish authorities at the time (1008 A.D.) deemed it to be a sacred religious icon- kosher enough to be included as the cover page for the Hebrew Bible. Therefore, to say that the Star of David has been a religious symbol of Judaism for at least 1,000 years cannot be easily denied.

The One Dollar Star of David Above the Bald Eagle's Head

Over its (bald eagle's) head there appears a 'glory' with 13 mullets (stars) on a blue field. In the current (and several previous) dies of the Great Seal, the 13 stars above the eagle are arranged in rows of 1-4-3-4-1, forming a six-pointed Star [of David].

- Great Seal of the United States, Wikipedia

Above the American bald eagle’s head the stars of the original 13 states are composed to form a Solomon’s seal symbolic of the union of soul and body, spirit and matter. Each of the interlaced equilateral triangles, one upward turned, the other downward...the two represent the physical world as informed by the spiritual..

- Joseph Campbell, The Inner Reaches of Outer Space: Metaphor as Myth and as Religion (The Collected Works of Joseph Campbell)

U.S. government versions of the Great Seal show the constellation of 13 stars in a Hexagram pattern (two triangles intersecting to form a six-pointed star). There has been much speculation about the symbolic intent of this Hexagram...

- "Thirteen Stars Forming a Constellation",

The first die...was cut sometime between June and September, 1782 (i.e. between the design being accepted and its first use), although the exact date is not known. The identity of the engraver is also not known...The blazon does not specify the arrangement of the stars...nor the number of points; the engraver chose Six-Pointed Stars (typical of English heraldry), and arranged them in a larger Six-Pointed Star. No drawing made by the engraver has ever been found...This first die was used until 1841.

Star of David Quotables - One More Christian Author Refers to the Star of David as the Bright, Morning Star

Whoever finds the Star of David no longer needs the stars of Heaven. He who has found the one who is the root and the offspring of David- the bright and Morning Star- does not need any astrological forecasts. He has found Him of whom Moses, the law, and the prophets did write: the King of kings and LORD of lords. Astrology should follow the example of the wise men and worship Him.

Star of David Quotables / Yet Another Accusation and Defamation of the Judeo/Christian Hexagram

The Jewish Star of David secretly honors Lucifer under the disguise of Remphan, the ancient Egyptian "Star" god. In Acts 7:39-43 the blessed martyr Stephen blasted the Jews, prophetically declaring, "Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon."

The Star of David is a Christian Symbol

The magi's coming to Jerusalem in order to pay homage to the king of the Jews shows that they seek in Israel, in the messianic light of the STAR OF DAVID, the one who will be king of the nations. Their coming means that pagans can discover Jesus and worship him as Son of God and Savior of the world only by turning towards the Jews and receiving from them the messianic promise as contained in the Old Testament.

Introduction to the Kabala Star of David

The Kabala Star of David

Several versions of Cabala have evolved throughout the ages. The ancient Hebrew Cabala contained seven sephiroth which is reflected by the seven pointed star (Star of David), the candelabra and the seven celestial bodies which were predominant influences prior to the discovery of the planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.

- The Astrological Implications of the Cabala, by Tracy Porter, Angelfire (

Kabbalah teaches that G d created the world with seven spiritual building blocks—His seven emotional attributes. Accordingly, the entire creation is a reflection of these seven foundational attributes. They are: Chesed (Kindness), Gevurah (Severity), Tiferet (Harmony), Netzach (Perseverance), Hod (Splendor), Yesod (Foundation) and Malchut (Royalty).

Correspondingly, the Star of David contains seven compartments—six peaks protruding from a center.

The upper right wing is Chesed.
The upper left wing is Gevurah.
The upper center peak is Tiferet. Kabbalah teaches that Tiferet finds its source in Ketter, “the Crown,” which is infinitely higher than all the divine attributes which are involved in the “mundane” pursuit of creating worlds.
The lower right wing is Netzach.
The lower left wing is Hod.
The center is Yesod. Yesod is “Foundation,” and as such all the other attributes are rooted in, and give rise from, this attribute.

The star’s bottom that descends from its belly is Malchut—the attribute that absorbs the energies of the higher six attributes and uses them to actually descend and create everything—and “reign” over them.
